JIM WREN
Jim Wren graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration (accounting emphasis) and has practiced in Bakersfield, California as a licensed certified public accountant since 1985. Jim formed Wren Kelly CPAs, LLP in 2005 with Shawn Kelly, his friend and business partner.
Jim specializes in business and personal income tax services and small business consulting. The most fulfilling aspect of Jim’s practice is the relationships he enjoys with his clients as they strive together to overcome challenges and improve their businesses. Industries served include agriculture, medical services, petroleum, construction and real estate, retail establishments, legal and professional services and non-profit organizations.
Jim has been privileged to serve in leadership positions with various organizations, some of which include River Lakes Community Church, Living Grace Community Church, Hoffmann Hospice of the Valley, Advanced Center for Eyecare, and the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Jim is married to Janet and they have two adult children, Mason and Haley. Jim strives to be a humble and committed follower of Jesus Christ. His greatest desire is to love his family and serve his clients in a way that honors the Lord.
SHAWN KELLY
Shawn Kelly graduated from California Polytechnic State University - SLO with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration (accounting emphasis) and has practiced in Bakersfield, California as a licensed certified public accountant since 1987. Shawn formed Wren Kelly CPAs, LLP in 2005 with Jim Wren, his friend and business partner.
Shawn specializes in business and personal income tax services and small business consulting. Many of Shawn’s client work in industries include agriculture, medical services, petroleum, real estate, homeowner associations and non-profit organizations.
Shawn has served in the community in leadership positions with various organizations, some of which include First Presbyterian Church, Rotary Club of Bakersfield, Jim Burke Education Foundation, and Kern Bridges Youth Homes.
Shawn is married to Lori and they have three adult children - Sara, Peter and Amy, and one granddaughter - Evelyn. Shawn strives to be a humble and committed follower of Jesus Christ. His greatest desire is to love his family and serve his clients in a way that honors the Lord.
